Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract, and you confirm this when you create an account. Provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. One person or business is responsible for each account and its role (rider, driver, or base).

Ryder is a technology platform that connects riders requesting transportation with independent drivers and the partner bases that manage them. Ryder itself does not provide transportation; drivers and bases are independent providers responsible for the rides they offer.

Request rides only for lawful purposes, provide accurate pickup and drop-off details, be ready at pickup, treat drivers with respect, and pay your driver in cash at the end of the trip. Ryder does not quote or calculate fares: the price is agreed between you and your driver. You may cancel before or after a driver accepts, and Ryder charges no cancellation fee, though repeated late cancellations or no-shows may lead to an account review. You may rate and comment on trips; abusive or fraudulent behaviour may lead to suspension.

To drive on Ryder you must hold a valid Guyanese driver's licence, provide a national ID and insurance, and pass identity verification (KYC). You must keep documents current, drive a roadworthy and insured vehicle, obey all traffic laws, and carry passengers safely. Going online shares your live location (including in the background) so riders and dispatch can track the trip. Dangerous driving, impairment, harassment, or document fraud results in immediate suspension.

Being added to a base's fleet does not by itself activate an account, and a driver may leave a base at any time from the app. Only a base can add a driver to its fleet.

Partner bases agree to onboard only licensed, verified drivers; maintain roadworthy, insured, accurately-described vehicles; respond to dispatched requests during declared hours; and act on rider complaints. Manual dispatches accepted through the portal are binding assignments. Bases must not misuse the platform, harvest rider data, or access other bases' information.

A base may add as many drivers as it wishes. Ryder may review base performance and suspend portal access for breaches of these Terms.

Ryder is cash-only. The price of a ride is agreed between the rider and the driver and paid in cash directly to the driver. Ryder does not set or calculate fares, does not apply surge pricing, takes no commission, and never holds anyone's money.

Riders and drivers may rate each other and leave comments after a trip. Ratings affect standing on the platform. Do not post unlawful, defamatory, or abusive content. We may remove content or act on accounts that violate these Terms.

Do not: use Ryder for anything illegal; create fake accounts, trips, or ratings; attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours; interfere with, overload, or reverse-engineer the service; or use automated means to scrape or abuse the platform. Violations may result in immediate suspension and, where appropriate, legal action.

Trips are tracked with GPS for safety and dispute resolution. Riders may share live trip status with trusted contacts. Report emergencies to local authorities first, then to Ryder support.

Ryder is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, driver/rider conduct, or the availability of rides. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ryder is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid to Ryder in the three months before a claim.

You may stop using Ryder at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or applicable law, or to protect users and the platform. Sections on payments owed, liability, and data survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana. Disputes are subject to the courts of Guyana, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced before taking effect, and continued use means acceptance. You may delete your account at any time from Account, then Delete Account in the app; the Privacy Policy explains what is erased and what is kept without your name on it. Questions?
